Advent and Christmas Worship Services 2022
Advent
During the season of Advent we gather for midweek worship services on Wednesdays (11/30, 12/7, and 12/14). Below are the service details. We would love for you to bring the whole family to eat and worship with us this Advent season.
- Noon Service
- Meal begins at 11:30am
- Service begins at 12:10pm
- Evening Service
- Meal begins at 5:30pm
- Service begins at 6:30pm
Christmas
Christmas Eve candlelight services will be on December 24 at 5:00pm and 7:00pm. The services will include special music by the choir and handbells. Come celebrate the the promise of a Savior fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ.
Christmas Day (December 25) we will gather together in worship of the new-born Savior, Jesus Christ. The service with communion will begin at 10:00am.
New Year Celebration
We invite you to gather in thanksgiving to God for the close of another year on New Year's Eve (12/31) at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (2701 College Ave, Quincy, IL 62301) at 5:00pm. The service is a joint worship service between all three LCMS Quincy churches (Our Redeemer, St. James, and the Luth. Church of St. John).
New Year's Day (1/1/23) worship will be at our normal Sunday times of 8:00am and 10:30am. There will be no Bible Class or Sunday School on New Year's Day (1/1/23).
