Katherine Luther Guild (affectionately called Katie's Ladies) is open to any woman who is a communicant member of St. James Lutheran Church. We are affiliated with the Quincy Zone, Central Illinois District of the National LWML.
Katie's Ladies participate in and support the ministries of St. James Church, as well as supporting the mission projects of the District and National LWML.
Meetings are held in the Fellowship Room at 7pm on the first Monday of each month, except July, August and holidays.
Tuesday Morning Women's Study - meets at 9:30am. Bible study resumes in September.
Thursday Morning Men's Study - meets at 9:30 am. Bible study resumes in September.
The Men's Club was organized in the Fall of 1946 and affiliated with the International Lutheran Laymen's League in March of 1947. Rev. Edwin Hahn was instrumental in organizing the club.
Men's Club members come from all three of the Quincy LCMS churches, and monthly meetings rotate through those locations: St. James Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Church of St. John, and Our Redeemer. Monthly meetings include a devotion, hymn, scripture reading, Bible Study, mission report, and social time.
The meetings occur every third Thursday of the month, and rotate through the three Quincy Lutheran churches. Contact the church for more details.
