Winter HOliday Service Times 2023

Giving thanks to God for all that He blesses us with - body and soul, clothing and shoes, food and drink, house and home, family and friends, and all that we have - is part of the Christian life of worship.  We will gather for a Thanksgiving Eve Divine Service on Wednesday, November 22 at 6:30pm.  



During the season of Advent we gather for midweek worship services on Wednesdays (12/6, 12/13, 12/20).  Below are the service details. We would love for you to bring the whole family to eat and worship with us this Advent season.

  • Noon Service
    • Meal begins at 11:30am
    • Service begins at 12:10pm
  • Evening Service
    • Meal begins at 5:30pm
    • Service begins at 6:30pm


Christmas Eve candlelight services will be on December 24 at 5:00pm and 9:00pm.  The 5:00pm service will include special music by the choirs and handbells.  The 9:00pm service will be the Office of Evening Prayer.  Come celebrate the the promise of a Savior fulfilled in the birth of Jesus Christ.

Christmas Day (December 25) we will gather together in worship of the new-born Savior, Jesus Christ.  The Divine Service with communion will begin at 9:00am.

New Year Celebration

We invite you to gather in thanksgiving to God for the close of another year on New Year's Eve (12/31/23) for two worship opportunities:

In the morning, at 8:00am and 10:30am.  There will be no Bible Class or Sunday School that morning.

In the evening, at the Lutheran Church of St. John (3340 State Street, Quincy, IL 62301) at 6:30 pm.  The service is a joint worship service between all three Quincy LCMS churches (Our Redeemer, St. James, and the Luth. Church of St. John).
